For your convenience our classroom is fully equipped with irons, ironing boards, cutting mats and rulers. We also have Bernina sewing machines available for your use. Please reserve one when you register for your class- first come, first serve.

Your Choice of Date & Time & Class Project!

You and your family and friends can create a class just for you! Get away for a few hours, make a day of it or have your own multiple day retreat. This makes for a great birthday get together or a special bridal or baby shower. Days, weekends and evenings are all fine with us. You select the project, date and time and give us a call. If you need help picking a project or class let us know, we would be glad to assist you in designing the perfect class for you. Please be sure to call us as far in advance as possible. (Sometimes this means 4 or 5 weeks in advance.) We need the time for scheduling staff, instructors, class room space and making sure that all supplies will arrive on time so you are guaranteed to have a great time. Minimum number of students is three. Class fees will vary.

If there is a class that you or a group of friends would like to attend, and the date that we have it scheduled for doesn’t work for you - please feel free to contact us and we will work to accommodate your needs!

Painstiks create deep, rich permanent colors on fabrics while remaining soft and smooth. Create beautiful fabrics of your own, make motifs for everything from quilt blocks, tablerunners, placemats and even curtains. There are so many options. By using the rubbing plates, you can create your own unique background fabrics, too. Come and try these for yourself. You are guaranteed to be flooded with excitement and ideas. Class fee is $15.00 and includes the use of our Paintstiks so you can give it a try!

Quick as Wink Placemats – Wed. April 6, 10am – 12pm
These are the easiest placemats you will ever make and so attractive that no one will ever guess how quickly you put them together. The magic is in the wonderful mitered corners that are created when you bring the backing fabric to the front which eliminates the extra step of binding! In class, select your favorite novelty print fabric, add a companion print for the border and backing, do a little marking and stitching and your placemat is done. Class fee: $10.00

Fun for all! These delightful flowers are made from metal zippers and can be embellished with buttons and beads. A bit of hand sewing is all you need to create these pretty flowers that will look great on a coat, hat or bag. A great gift – they never wilt! Class fee: $10.00

This is the perfect beginning sewing project. You will learn measuring, cutting, sewing a casing and easily making evenly finished tubes for the apron strings. Start with a hemmed tea towel and add your favorite coordinating or contrasting print for the pocket and apron strings. You will find you need one for every occasion and they make a great gift. Fun! Class fee: $10.00

Put your potatoes in one of these fabric bags and pop it in the microwave. You'll have the best baked potatoes ever. The first part of the class will be sewing your potato bag. Then it's time for your FREE LUNCH! We'll be setting up a yummy potato bar for lunch and to give you lots of ideas for having your own potato party. Class fee: $15.00

Everyone can use these baskets. Maybe one for yarn, or towels or even the cat! Using 2 1/2” fabric strips (Jelly Roll or Bali Pop size or even leftover pieces) you can make this wonderful round woven fabric basket. Pattern offers three sizes of baskets and is embellished with a row of cleverly placed fabric knots along the top. This is fun, come and try it! Great gift idea, too! Fill with goodies for Easter or baby and bridal showers! Class fee: $33.00

A fun table runner that features a focus print in the center. Pick a floral, wildlife, or your favorite novelty fabric to feature, add borders, angle the ends, quilt and bind. A great class to refresh your skills or learn new ones. Class fee: $33.00

A cheery fabric basket for all occasions! This basket measures 8”W X 6”H X 5”D and will hold lots of goodies. The magic comes in the form of Texture Magic, which gives the basket a great texturized look and feel. Come and play with Texture Magic and see just what it does and all its possibilities. Class fee: $17.00

This unique hand bag has a great box shape. Each side has a pocket and there is also a zipper pocket to keep your valuables safe. Can be made from simple squares, pieced blocks or feature a different print on each side. Handle pulls up thru colorful and very easy to install large rings for a very simple way to keep the bag closed. Class fee: $22.00

Sew jelly roll strips of fabrics (2 ½” wide) into tubes, add a stabilizer and then weave them into an attractive basket that can hold your mail, be a desk organizer, filled with baked goods for friends and neighbors, or even hold a current stitching project. Your fabric selections determine the style or the holiday. These are excellent for Easter baskets; fill with goodies and they get to keep the basket! Class fee $33.00

Rectangles turn into stunning triangles in this cute table topper that can be made for any season, holiday or special occasion. This is another great use of the 60 degree triangle rulers, too. Use as few as four colors or make it scrappy if you would like. Our model is made with jelly bean fabric and ready to go for Easter.

Try this vest for a change! This garment is simple, loose fitting and can be made in two lengths. Make it from one fabric or make it with two and it will be reversible! Once done you can wear it wrapped, belted, tied or hanging loose over a shirt or tank. Made with only one pattern piece, this vest is great for beginning or experienced garment makers. Please note, for best results fabrics should be pre-washed. Class fee: $27.00

The perfect jacket for our spring weather. Wear over a t-shirt or a tank for an extra layer. This fully lined, zip up jacket can be made from multiple fabrics or a single fabric with contrasting lining. The zipper is so easy to install. Learn the technique and you will enjoy sewing zippers! Pick your favorite prints; fun novelties or classy batiks and come join us in class! Multi sized pattern includes sizes 4-22. Please note, fabrics should be pre-washed before making jacket. Class fee: $33.00

Sew strips together to make blocks and them assemble them quilt-as-you-go style. This fascinating style of quilt-as-you-go adds sashing strips to the blocks as you assemble them. Make yours very scrappy or alternate pieced blocks with themed blocks for an entirely different look. It's a great technique to add to your quiltmaking knowledge. Class fee $33.00

Bracelets, necklaces and pins – oh my! Fabric yo-yo's made from all types of fabric and embellished with beads, buttons and ribbons create the most wonderful jewelry. Anyone can make these – just a little hand sewing and then let the creative juices flow to create one of a kind pretties. We will be creating a necklace in class. Class fee: $10.00

This open classroom time will allow you to stitch uninterrupted! Come and join us with your project- sewing, quilting, knitting, crochet, embroidery- whatever you choose. We get lots accomplished and have a great time doing it. We are here to help if get stuck or just need some advice. FREE!

*Class attendees must preregister and pay for their classes in advance. This allows us time to schedule staff and supplies so that you have the best experience possible. Cancellations made at least 2 days in advance will receive a store credit. “No Shows” will not receive a refund or store credit. We will reschedule a class if the weather is severe. *Our classes are designed to provide education while still having fun. You are here to learn, so don’t hesitate to ask questions. We love lots of questions. We were all beginners at one time.

*Each class has a supply list. This list will be provided upon registration and payment for the class.

*For day-long classes or classes that extend beyond the lunch time, a lunch break has been included in the class time.

*We have Bernina sewing machines for classroom use on a first come first serve basis. You can reserve one when you pay for your class. It’s a great time to try a Bernina!
