This is your day; the one you have been dreaming of. A whole uninterrupted day to quilt, embroider, knit, crochet, etc. Bring projects from your stash that you have been wanting to stitch. No stash? Accurate rotary cutting is an absolute must for accurately pieced quilt blocks. Whether you are a quilter want-to-be, a new beginner or a more experienced quilter who has experienced frustration because of ruler slippage, etc. this class is for you. A few minutes of helpful guidance will make a huge difference in all of your future quilting adventures. Also, the best benefit is eliminating the frustration! Class fee: $15.00

Crazy Quilt As You Go

2 week class - Tuesday, April 25

Crazy Quilt As You GoStart with fat quarters, slice 'em, dice 'em, sew them back together into crazy patch blocks. Now the fun begins; use the many different stitches on your sewing machine to quilt the blocks. For added fun, use contrasting, variegated and metallic threads! All of your stitching will be done on each individual block while it is a manageable size. Finally, sash your quilted blocks and join them together to make your quilt with this clever quilt-as-you-go technique.

The techniques you learn today will enhance all of your future quilting projects! Class fee: $60.00

Quilt Bindings

The final step in quilt making is the binding. There are many different ways to bind a quilt. Learn the benefits of cutting the binding on the crosswise grain vs. continuous bias, how to successfully navigate corners and curves and to end binding with a perfect fit. Bring a project ready to bind. Class fee $20.00

Tourist Tote

Tourist ToteDon't let the name fool you on this one! This tote is nice and roomy and just the right size for everyday use as well. The handles are sewn to the bag for extra durability and their length allows you to carry the tote over you shoulder if you prefer. In this class, you will learn basic tote bag construction, the importance of an interfacing or stabilizer and how to add handy pockets if desired. Class fee: $30.00

Just For You!

Plan a class for you and 2-3 or more of your friends. It can be something from a current schedule, something we have offered in the past or something you have always wanted to try or know more about. Give us a call with your ideas, dates and times; we will make plans together!Please allow at least 3-4 weeks for planning, scheduling a date and staffing. It is that easy to have a fun day in Paradise with friends.

To Ensure Your Success in Classes

Preregistration and prepayment are required for all classes. This allows the instructor to be properly prepared and allow us to schedule additional staffing. Registering at least one week in advance of the class date is greatly appreciated. There are supplies that are needed for classes and we will advise you of those at the time of payment and registration. Unless otherwise noted, class fees are for instruction only.

Part of your class fee and for your convenience, our classroom is fully equipped with irons, ironing boards and cutting mats eliminating the need for you to tote those heavy and cumbersome essentials. We also have Bernina sewing machines available for use. Please reserve one when you register for your class as they are first-come, first-serve.

All supplies are available at Village Fabrics & Crafts. We strive to keep all items in stock to make your preparation and shopping easy, convenient and greatly appreciate it when you purchase your supplies from us. We have tested them and are confident in their quality and your success when using them. If you have some supplies at home, you are welcome to bring them. Store credit only for cancellations.

You fill in the blank, what would you like to learn? Bring along at least 2-3 of your friends and we will schedule a class just for you. You select the project, date and time, give us as much notice as possible to work it into our regular schedule, prepare and we'll have a date! You can select from classes listed on the current schedule (if the date doesn't fit your group), something offered in a previous schedule or just ask if you have any other interests; we'll do our best to accommodate. We're here to help you enjoy all the needle arts to their fullest!
