This is an accurate and quick updated version of the ever popular favorite. You won't believe how easy it is to achieve such perfect results. It's all in a specially designed pattern and a really neat ironing technique that brings it all together so perfectly. You can make square, octagonal or round hot pads and there is a cute little pincushion pattern available. Class fee: $15.00
Beginning Raggy QuiltingMonday, March 17, 10 - 5
There is just nothing as snuggly as a flannel raggy quilt! This is the perfect beginner project. The quilt is made with flannel fat quarters. The more fat quarters, the larger the quilt size; it is up to you. By the end of the day, you will have several blocks completed and know how to easily finish your quilt. Class fee: $20.00

There are several methods for binding quilts. We will show you different methods and some sweet shortcuts. Bring a quilted item; table runner, place mat, wall hanging, or quilt that needs a binding. We will get you started, or, depending on the size, bind your item in class. Class fee: $15.00

Simple shaping creates a neck-hugging scarf with ties long enough to drape, knot or pin in front. Choose from three easy-to-knit versions in a choice of 4 different weights of yarn. The styles adapt to a variety of fibers to accessorize holiday, business or casual wear. It is just the right size for spring and a fun way to experiment with interesting yarns. Discover the possibilities and joys of machine embroidery! This class is for those of you who own an embroidery machine or anyone interested in machine embroidery. Come and see all the things you can do with machine embroidery from embroidered greeting cards (yes, you can embroider on card stock!), place mats, lace appliques, lace ornaments, quilted motifs, embellished clothing, fun quilts and so much more. Beginning Free Motion Machine QuiltingSunday, March 23, 1 - 4
Free motion machine quilting is everywhere! It is fun, quicker than hand quilting and produces beautiful results. You will learn about fabrics, threads, battings, marking, machine settings, design options and more. Come and try it or if you have been machine quilting and would like some help, come and join us! March 2014 Stashbusters
From 10-5 each day, this is a FREE open classroom time for you to enjoy your favorite needle art project. Come for the day or as your schedule permits. Bring a works-in-progress or start something new. We have coffee, tea, fridge and microwave. You are welcome to bring your lunch. It is always a fun day sharing our projects and stitching with friends.

No quilting experience required! Join us to make quilts donated to Whitefish Township Emergency Services. These quilts are given to seriously ill or injured patients who are transported by ambulance. It is always a fun day with friends, old and new, time well spent toward a heart warming cause and the potluck lunch is always a gourmet treat.
For your convenience our classroom is fully equipped with irons, ironing boards, cutting mats and rulers. We also have Bernina sewing machines available for your use. Please reserve one when you register for your class-first come, first serve.
I Want to Learn . . . . . . . .
You fill in the blank, what would you like to learn? Bring along at least 2-3 of your friends and we will schedule a class just for you. You select the project, date and time, give us as much notice as possible to work it into our regular schedule, prepare and we'll have a date! You can select from classes listed on the current schedule (if the date doesn't fit your group), something offered in a previous schedule or just ask if you have any other interests; we'll do our best to accommodate. We're here to help you enjoy all the needle arts to their fullest!

Just for You
Plan a class for you and 2-3 or more of your friends. It can be something from the current schedule, something we have offered in the past or something that you have always wanted to try or know more about. Give us a call with your ideas and times and we will plan a date. Please allow 3-4 weeks for planning, scheduling a date and staff. It's that easy to have a fun and educational day with friends!
To Ensure Your Success in Class
Don't worry about the winter weather. If the weather is unfavorable, we will reschedule the class. Preregistration and prepayment is required for all classes. This allows the instructor to be properly prepared and to allow us to have additional staffing in the shop. There are supplies that are needed for classes and we will advise you of what is needed at the time of payment and registration. The class fees are for instruction only.
All supplies are available at Village Fabrics & Crafts.
We strive to keep all items in stock to make your preparation and shopping easy, convenient and greatly appreciate it when you purchase your supplies from us. If you have some supplies at home, you are welcome to bring them.
